The distance in these photographs are close to the subject. As the photographer my point of view in photo one, four, five, six, seven, and eight the view is above looking down. In photo two the view is straight on with a slight angle, also photo three the view is below looking up. All of these photographs were taken horizontal. In the photo of the line in the road and the photo of the brick wall, I used the rule of thirds. The photo of the line in the road the rule of thirds was used to off center the line in the road. Also the photo of the brick wall the top row of bricks shows the rule of thirds with the line in that top row being off center, which the other rows also show. Photographs that show the dynamic composition are successful, and leads the viewer's eye in the work. Photos that demonstrate this leading of the viewer's eye are the line in the road, the brick wall, and last the pile of sticks.
Assignment Two: Utility Lines And Poles
As the photographer I feel that photograph two, three, and five consider the rule of thirds. Also I feel that photograph two is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewers eye because the photo has a strong focal point, it follows the rule of thirds, and the simplicity in the photograph. The photograph I feel contains the best play of organic and geometric shapes are photograph three or four. And last the photograph I think best satisfies the assignment is photograph one, because the photograph is utility poles and power lines. This photograph also has a strong focal point, it considers the rule of thirds, and there is simplicity in this photograph.
